Anita C. Blythe is devoting her artistic pursuits primarily to the natural beauty of her native New Mexico, painting the enchanting landscapes, its awesome skies and local "adobe" scenes. Most paintings are painted "en plein aire" outdoors, on location. She is challenged as a painter to paint as the early impressionists, in the open air and in true natural light. Anita paints with oils & a palette knife, a technique that produces a unique texture to her oil paintings. She also paints in her studio from photographs of locations she has traveled.
