"Diamond Tail Ranch" is in the Sandia Mountains East of Placitas, New Mexico. This view was painted en plein air w/ a palette knife from the top of the ranch. Partly cloudy skies @ midday turn the mountains a soft mauve color as junipers line the hills in the foreground.
